Garnett & Beverly: Home

We're back from an amazing adventure in South America; Ecuador and Peru with the fabulously, musically fluent Nathan Hundley Brown. Machu Picchu is indeed a wonder of the ages, Lake Titikaka and the 'floating islands' a wonder of human ingenuity, and the country and peoples both grand and charming.
It's good to be home, especially to recoup from some air-borne invaders. It was nice to return to gorgeous, warm weather and the luscious colors and fragrances of early summer - Seattle is truly beautiful!! We're now looking forward to a bit of our 'normal' rain and some help with watering the gardens.

Garnett and Beverly leave on May 18 for a couple weeks of travel in Ecuador and Peru, with Nathan, Garnett's son (junior at Boston University, studying in Quito, Ecuador). We're gathering our malaria meds, our walking shoes, our "must fit in one bag" outfits - and readying to hit the road. We'll be back on June 3 - so will be posting some pics once we're back. It sun'd, it rained, then it snowed. One thing for sure - it's the NW and one is never sure what to expect. I have noted that the daffodils and crocus and cherry blossoms have taken no note of the snow and are determined to bloom in their own good time - regardless!!
We're gearing up for some travel and outreach: Portland, around the Sound, then to South America mid-May; Quito, Ecuador, Machu Picchu and Lake Titikaka (Bev just likes the sound of that one) in Peru - and wherever else the spirit and Garnett's son, Nathan, take us.
We've had a winter of hibernation and rejuvenation and are ready to take on the spring - and ready to see you. Check out the calendar for anything nearby.
